Training at Kipling Equestrian

At Kipling Equestrian, our goal is to create confident, willing horses through kind, effective, and ethical training. We work with horses of all ages and experience levels, from green horses just starting out to those needing a tune-up or help overcoming challenges. Every program is personalized to meet the individual needs of horse and rider, building lasting communication, trust, and balance.

Our
Training Approach

We believe in doing things the right way, with patience, understanding, and consistency. Training is never rushed, and we never rely on harsh methods or quick fixes. Instead, we focus on building solid foundations that set horses and riders up for long-term success, both in and out of the show ring.

Our program develops:

  • Softness, balance, and responsiveness under saddle

  • Groundwork and confidence from the ground up

  • Improved communication between horse and rider

  • Relaxation, focus, and willingness in every session

Training Disciplines

Hunter/Jumper

Program Options

90 day start-up

This program is designed for young or unstarted horses that need to be started under saddle. Over the course of 90 days, the horse will learn foundational skills including groundwork, saddling, accepting the rider, steering, stopping, and developing confidence under saddle. The goal of this program is to create a calm, responsive horse with a solid start and a strong foundation to continue their education.

7-9 weeks

This program is ideal for horses that need a refresher, basic training, or help working through minor issues. The exact length will be determined after time spent evaluating the horse and understanding their needs. During this time we focus on improving responsiveness, confidence, and overall rideability.

10-12 weeks

This longer program is best suited for horses that require more time to address behavioral challenges, develop more advanced skills, or make significant progress in their training. The additional time allows for a more thorough and consistent training process, helping the horse build stronger habits and confidence.
